Overview
Boardesa is a static, browser-based whiteboard. It does not require accounts, logins, uploads, cloud storage, or a backend database for drawing, image annotation, sticky notes, diagrams, or exports. The board is designed to work locally in your browser.
Information you create on the board
Drawings, text, sticky notes, connectors, imported image data, shapes, background choices, and saved boards are handled in your browser. When you save to browser, Boardesa may store board data in localStorage on your device. Downloaded .boardesa, PNG, SVG, and PDF files are controlled by you. These local saves and exports are not sent to a Boardesa server by the app.
Information you send to us
If you contact Boardesa by email, we may receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, message, and any details related to your request. We use this information to respond to your message and improve the product.
Cookies and local storage
Boardesa may use browser storage to remember your theme preference and saved board data. Boardesa also uses Google Analytics to understand general site usage, such as page visits and device/browser information. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.
Advertising and third-party services
The whiteboard app page works without AdSense code. Boardesa may use Google AdSense on informational pages, where third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to Boardesa or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on visits to Boardesa and/or other sites on the Internet.
Google and advertising partners may also use local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, device/browser information, and similar technologies to personalize, limit, measure, and protect advertising. These technologies may help show relevant ads, limit repeated ads, detect invalid traffic, and report ad performance. Advertising storage is denied by default in the site's Google consent settings until you choose an option that allows it.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, personalized Google ads require a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Boardesa's simple cookie banner is used for site consent mode; the AdSense account should also publish Google's Privacy & messaging consent experience or another Google-certified CMP before serving ads in those regions.

Analytics
Boardesa uses Google Analytics with measurement ID G-X8J5VD24DN to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, browser information, and referral source. Boardesa does not intentionally send your whiteboard drawings, text, or locally saved board content to Google Analytics.
Children's privacy
Boardesa is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a contact message, please contact us so the request can be reviewed.
Your choices
You can clear local board data by using the board's reset/clear controls or by clearing local site data in your browser settings. You can also change the theme from the settings menu and delete exported files from wherever you saved them.
Data retention
Locally saved boards remain on your device until you clear the board, clear browser storage, or remove site data. Email messages are kept as long as needed to respond, handle support, keep basic records, and protect the service from abuse.
Security
Boardesa keeps the drawing workflow local where possible and avoids collecting board files through a server. No website can guarantee perfect security, so avoid placing passwords, payment data, medical records, or other highly sensitive information on any board you plan to export or share.
